Más Que Rock Festival aplaza la edición de este año hasta 2021

COMUNICADO OFICIAL JULIÁN RGUEZ, ORGANIZADOR DEL FESTIVAL +Q ROCK

Desde hace unos días me han llegado Mensajes, llamadas y comentarios mostrando preocupación por la celebración de la novena edición del festival. Siempre he creído, hasta el último minuto que el Festival podría tener lugar éste Año.
Desafortunadamente, ante esta situación SIN PRECEDENTES, Y una vez dialogado con las Bandas, Hostelería, agencias de viajes y las autoridades pertinentes del Exmo. Ayuntamiento de Los Realejos, el cual se ha mostrado receptivo y se ha ofrecido a ayudar en lo posible, hemos llegado a la conclusión de que la decisión más sensata y coherente es la de Aplazar el festival Hasta 2021.
Mientras más han ido pasando los días, más imposible se me hacía imaginar una edición en 2020, garantizando la seguridad del público y del personal asistente.
Aunque los contagios por el COVID19 en Canarias parecen estabilizarse e incluso disminuir, hay otros factores que influyen en la imposibilidad de la realización del acto, el estado de los Aeropuertos Internacionales (ya sabemos que la MITAD del cartel son Bandas Internacionales), el cese de la actividad Hostelera que aún no tiene fecha de reinicio de actividad, también la restauración y el poco Margen de reacción que deja la espera de un nuevo decreto que permita volver a la normalidad.
Es la decisión más triste que me ha tocado tomar en cuanto al festival se refiere, y es así, con el corazón encogido como he tomado esta decisión.

Si tienes una entrada o bono para la edición de 2020, puedes conservarla para la de 2021, SIN NINGÚN COSTE ADICIONAL, no tienes Que hacer nada más que CONSERVARLA.

Si no deseas acudir y participar en la edición de 2021, te damos la opción de devolución, y si eres de los que compraste la entrada con camiseta de regalo, no te preocupes, la camiseta ES TUYA.

Pronto publicaré cómo será la devolución de entradas a esas personas que así lo deseen hacer. A todas las que decidan confiar y apoyar este festival, para que se pueda celebrar en 2021, simplemente GRACIAS por anticipado y que sepan que se ha hablado para mantener el mismo cartel, pero si hubiera algún cambio o cancelación de alguna banda, ocuparía su lugar una de la misma calidad y nivel.

La fecha propuesta para 2021 será el 12 de Junio,en cuanto sea oficial y confirmada, lo haré público.

Éste es un verdadero Golpe para un pequeño festival que se hace sin ánimo de Lucro y para la escena metalera/alternativa de Tenerife y Canarias, en mi humilde opinión.

Desde hoy, siendo consciente de lo que se nos viene encima, me Comprometo a que la edición 2021 sea la más increíble hasta la fecha.

A todos los colaboradores y patrocinadores, mil gracias por apoyar el festival, que sin ellos y el público, sería imposible llevar a cabo. Se les seguirá haciendo publicidad, tanto en redes sociales, como en cartelería, flyers, radio etc hasta el año que viene.

Desde +QRock y mi persona, simplemente decir que volveremos más fuertes que nunca y brindaremos Juntos!!!

During the last days I have got many messages, phone calls and social media comments showing their concern about the +Q Rock 9th edition. I have always believed till the last moment that the festival could finally taking place this year.
Unfortunately facing an unprecedented situation like this and once I have spoken with the involved bands, hotel managers and the pertinent town hall authorities from Los Realejos, we have concluded that the most reasonable and coherent decision is to postpone the festival till 2021.

As the days were passing by it became clear that it wouldn't be possible to go on with this 2020 edition guaranteeing the attendance and staff health safety.

Although the Covid-19 spreading in the Canary Islands seems to be stabilized and even decreasing there are many other factors that affects the Normal arrangements of the fest: the airports hiatus ( half the bands come from abroad), the closure of all accommodation activities without further notice of reopening and, restoration facilities and the uncertainty of an upcoming decree that will allow us to return to our normal lifes but also gaves us less time to react.
This is the most sad decision I have been forced to take regarding a festival that means everything to me and, from the bottom of my heart I think is the best I can do.
If you have a voucher or ticket for this 2020 edition it will be valid for 2021 without any additional cost. Don't do anything else, just keep it with you.
If you don't want to join us in 2021 we give you return options and if you are one of the one that bought ticket plus T-shirt don't worry, that T-shirt is yours.

I will publish soon how the return and refund procedure works for all of you that choose this option.

We will try to keep the same lineup but if there would be any change or band cancellation we would do our best to get another band with such quality and category.
The new festival date would be June the 12th 2021 and, as soon as it becomes official and confirmed I will publish it.

This is a hard moment for an small festival without profit animosity and for the metal and alternative scene of Tenerife and the Canary Islands.
From today ahead I promise to make the 2021 festival edition the most incredible edition until now.
To all my Collabs and sponsors many thanks for supporting a festival that without them and the attendance would be impossible to celebrate.
We will keep on publishing their brands as in social media as in posters, flyers, radio, etc... til next edition.

From +Q Rock and myself just this final statement: we will be back stronger than ever and we will toast together.
